Some friend in the Akron area have seen bucks mounting does this week. It seems very early. Has anyone else seen this activity?

Got home from northern MI in time to slip into some public for the last couple hours. Hoping for the wind to continue what it’s doing, and the squirrel hunters stay away. Good luck to anyone else out.

I dug my bow and xbow out from behind a years worth of stored stuff from 2 weddings at least. Going to clean them up and check for loose parts and knock some rust off this week.

OK... My turn. Long-ass deer track today. Showere'd and walked across the street. N wind on a sm food plot, mineral lick and feeder. One of them spots that anything can happen...

One small buck and 5 does, nothing in range. Back in tomm AM.
One deer spooked after I had climbed down and packed all my shit up. Beautiful evening, deer just didn’t cooperate. Planning to hunt a small parcel of private tomorrow afternoon if the wind forecast holds.
This guy has been a pain all summer. He was a late late fawn last year, spots well into winter. He never really matured, those are not nubs, but 2 inchers lol, so it was time for him to go. I bumped him on way in at 6:45am, he came back 45mins later on a death wish lol. Double lung pass thru and he still ran 150yrds., but didnt make it out of the field making for an easy drag. Off to Bellevue meats he goes this AM, I'm on vacation so not looking for any additional work, especially in 70* temps
