Heck of a nice doe. Slipped out for couple hours after work. Sitting over clover when it feels like I should be among the acorns but easy access and good wind. Jumped one bedded right behind blind. We’ll see if the 9 pointer shows up before dark. Good luck to anyone out.

Nice mid Oct cold front coming in this Mon/Tues. Looks like I'll be in TOO for the first sit, good Lord willing and the creek dont rise.
Starting to look deery out there......cold front rain coming.......took my daughter to a homecoming parade just now saw a pretty good one out making a scrape. I'll be guiding my kids from now until Thanksgiving. My boy will be off school Friday first sit that morning unless something catches my eye.....all the corn in my area will be off in two weeks or sooner. Rut will be magical here. Congrats early birds filling freezers!!!!!!

Watched two 8 pointers stuff their faces with clover and work a scrape off and on from 6:15 til after shooting light. 1 and a 2 year old.
One year old was the aggressor, posturing and circling to get something started up. Two year old attitude was like “save your energy young fella-we got a lot of sleepless nights, ass kickings and sexual frustration ahead of us for the next month”
