LIVE from the stand 2025-26

1 raccoon, 1 woodchuck, 1 muskrat, 1 squirrel and 1 woodcock, no deerz. Had some guys busting brush behind me around 9:15 so I bailed. Decided to scout another section before I drove all the way home, and found 3 very fresh scrapes. Picked out a tree for this evening in the heat. Typically wouldn’t hunt on a work night, but figured being tired AF tomorrow would be worthwhile if a shooter rolled through.

Just catching up on the thread , congrats to all the killers so far!
Got in around 5. Figure all that matters will be the last 30-45 min more than likely. Really digging this spot. I’m in a cluster of oaks which is directly between a massive bedding area and a water source. Wind is perfect if the deer movement is what I think it could/should be. Hoping for a mature-ish buck. Will not be shooting a doe since I work in the am and have about an hour ride home.
Fun evening. 3 different bucks. Learned a good bit about their movement in this area, also got a cell cam up to get a better idea of their direction of travel. Looking forward to later this week when I can get back out and cooler temps.

Talked to my two deer sensi's Hawkins and Cliff on this yesterday. One says stay out of the woods in the mornings until later this week, one hunts the AM cold days not necessarily the back side of a big front. As addressed in the video below
Just saw Jeff's video this AM. Interesting and planning to head out for the first sit tomorrow AM. Confrimatiin biased?
This front appears to be rolling across all of TOO.

First time out this year! Hunting the back side of the front. New moon. Wish me luck.

I really really really don't want to mess with a deer but he wants to hunt. First sit this season.
