I’m in. Don’t know why, this is stupid. Light rain and a good wind. In case someone hasn’t read my previous posts over the years, I’m pretty dumb. This mornings stupidity was me driving all the way to some private, to realize I left my boots in the BED of my truck all night, not even thinking about nonstop rain all night. So I’m hunting in crocs on a stiff wind and rain, and had the opportunity to soak my feet on the walk on through the grass. Should’ve just turned around and went back to bed, but we’re committedGonna be extremely picky with my shots this am.

I do film some hunts from time to time…. I have the camera with me today. If by some miracle I catch a deer this am, the croc conundrum footage will likely see the light of day lol

@Mike thats true for most people, but I seem to do something real dumb every hunt so I don’t think it applies
As it got lighter I spotted a smedium non shooter buck bedded in the cut bean field with a doe. They eventually got up and browsed away from me. He was somewhat chasing her but she wasn’t giving into his antics. They disappeared into a lot of timber. Action is action.

Sat till 10, didn’t see any additional deer. Home now getting everything together for the “real” rUtCaTiOn coming up.

Levi is up and we are in. Wind finally chnage and this is our first sit of the season together. My first sit at all. Cams have been absent of deer for a few days so we chose corn, food, plot and deer blind. Wind/thermals will be better in the morning for the scrape line
Michael is butchering up in the barn so we have help and it sure would be nice to put another deer on the pole. Buck only for this sit today.

Kids are doing the trick or treat thing tonight and maybe tomorrow im in the blind where I planned on taking savannah. 2 good bucks were here yesterday while we were a couple miles away. Ill shoot the kne for sure. Still pretty windy but the rain is done.
