First sit of the season. Got up and didn’t get situated when 2 went by at :5:55 to dark to tell what they were but big bodied.
Started getting light and had a steady parade of does to keep me entertained and awake.
Dead calm wind as the milkweed went straight down and never moved in any direction.
6 does no bucks during daylight. Sat until 11:15 when a train came by and covered my exit….
Pretty good first morning. It’ll get nothing but better!
Still seeing active scrapes. And freshened up 2 of them…

Yup, I drug the camper down to shawnee and a call from work came in. I took it. Chalking this season up to turkeys.

This is going to be a half-hearted afternoon sit. Buddy got out the Stagg Jr and EH Taylor last night and things got a bit sideways. Faint memories in a Taco Bell that seemed to have all the chaos of an open air Asian fish market. When it came time for my order, apparently all I could muster up is “I would like a number of your most popular items please”. I suspect the massive amount of Chalupa Supremes would likely end my hunt early but I’ve trained for moments like this. Good luck all.

Dear Taco Bell, please tell the scientist who invented Chalupas that I hate them. They are an intestinal terrorist. Instead of engaging in the wholesome activity of legally harvesting game for my family, I’m strapped into recliner with the safety of bathrooms 10 steps in either direction. I once again fell victim to your reasonably priced a delicious explosive ass bombs. The worst part is you know what you are doing.

I'm out. Not sure why. Other than two bucks caught on cam this am, NOTHING has moved all day. Lockdown ? Anyway, setup in a different blind for an evening sit. Bucks were chasing last night......good luck !

Skittish doe with 4 pointer 5 minutes behind. All I’ve seen except 1000 squirrels.

Least wind/most calm I've had in the stand this year. Just squirrels unless you count the solo doe I bumped when I got off the four wheeler in a tiny patch of trees outside the main woods. Weirdly quiet woods.

As I was typing had a bonafide shooter skirt the woods edge 40-50yds. Right about 420 and no i was not high. Lol
