Heading out for a sneak around the bedding where i killed muzzie buck last year shortly and school got canceled so I'll be out this evening with the kiddo. We could sure use a win at some point lol

I heard a half dozen shots (nothing close by) all morning yesterday.
Neighbor only heard my 2 shots….
Nothing like the days when it sounded like WW3….
Back at the house. Didn't even see a squirrel this time. Thinking that makes 6 skunked sits in a row. Insanity

Way different than it used to be, but I like this part. The woods are full of people during archery season now, which I hate.
I heard 9-10 shots all day in Morgan country where I was. 3 were as close as 1/2-3/4 mile away. They sounded like 3 separate hunters and the first was after 12:30. Last was before 5.
I was skunked while hunting morning and afternoon though but go figure. Lol
I saw a small doe or bb while moving a camera mid day though.

Climbed down around 9, could not hold in the spicy food from last night in any longer. No deer sighted, not all that surprised. Looking forward to this afternoons sit. Finishing up a few honey-dos and will be back at it. Beautiful morning either way.
Been in since 2:45, bumped a small buck on the way in. He came back in along with 2 doe fawns and a mature doe a half an hour ago. Mature doe never got close enough, and I didn’t want to shoot a fawn. They all wandered off. I should’ve shot a fawn But hey, it’s early and they may come back through. Or get shot by a gun across the street. We’ll see.

Dad has seen 1 deer total yesterday and today. Heard very few shots. Haven’t ever seen my cameras this dead for this long. Kinda glad I’m not out there freezing for this. Hopefully it will pick up by this weekend. Deer must have really humped each others brains out this year to still be resting up this much. Last time I sprinkle Viagra in the feeder.

Only had an hour this evening while I was waiting on the oldest at practice and had the best sit so far lol. Coulda killed any one of the 6 does and spike i saw. There are deer here whew. Guessing he was same spike I coulda killed this morning twice

Welp, one of the does got smoked crossing into public. Talked to the guy after I left. Presumably the same mature one I saw with the fawns but impossible to say for sure since we were 500+ yards apart. Had 2 scrub bucks come in and entertain me for the last half hour. Gonna watch the wind and may hunt tomorrow afternoon.

Dad just got an average sized doe. Only second deer he’s seen in over 15 hours of hunting this week. Things are stupid right now.

Been in since 3ish. Had a few does through here around 11:30/noon and I’m really hoping they come back through. I would’ve been in earlier, but I ran across a fresh blood trail that I followed for longer and further than I should have. I marked it and will continue to follow it after dark. No boot prints following it, and seemed to be a great trail. It came from across the street on public so not sure what the story is there, didn’t see any trucks parked that were hunting so I dunno. May shoot a fawn doe if given the opportunity, these mature does are making it far more difficult than I would’ve guessed
