If I were a mean spirited person, I'd be killing 3-4 dogs. What's the point in having dogs when you tie them to a tree and listen to the bark all the time? Fuggers can shut up any minute now.

I've got what seems too be 6 of the yappy bastards barking right now... Goes on all the time down here at this spot.... One blue healer that is very protective of the sil's place next door.... It'll see a deer and run it off.... Unfortunately not my way though.... Yet....

Wasnt feeling it tonight but it is Nov freaking 1st. I'm in a tree. Not my number one stand choice but for the wind it is the stand I am in. Haven't scouted the area much this year and NO cameras here. Sort of a sleeper woods. Killed my 2010 buck here on a similar warm/windy night. (NOV 21). Seeing fresh sign Walking to my stand brought a smile knowing I was right in listening to my gut.

Checked a scrape cam 300 yards from. My house about 1 hour ago. The wild child was getting antsy so I took her on the four wheeler to check it.

Upon reviewing the pictures I got several pictures of a wide mature 9 pt (135ish ) tending the scrapes the last two nights before dsrk. Mind u I haven't had dsylight pictures of him all year. They are moving. ... just gotta be where they are

Yeah... they suck. Defense does their job. Offense is good for a quarter. Then the defense wears out cause they are always on the field. Same story every year.

Forgot my bow rope for the climber so I'm going with a ground tactic tonight. I found a really nice spot overlooking a field. The deer file out of either side of the field and I'm smack in the middle. Here goes nothing.

image.jpgHoofed it way back in with the buck decoy hunting a field edge. Leased ground all around me. After I'm set I see a guy set up his own decoy about 250 yards from me. Good thing for me the wind is at his back blowing straight to his decoy. Wind is in my face. I'm hunting here for free and he paid thousands of dollars. So I guess he should probably be more upset than me lol.

Today is the day. Got a feeling 😉. Good luck boys. My brother grunted a buck in 15 minutes before dark last night. Hit him in the side during a dead trot. Said it was wobbling dragging its back legs then disappeared. Hope we can find it today. Little/ no blood. Arrow looks like he gut shot it but that doesn't explain it dragging its hind legs like it was. He says it was hobbling so slowly there's no way it went far.
Ever find that buck?

Winds are calming down a bit. Can hear the squirrels again. Maybe I will hear deer if they head my way. Under an hour left. If it is going to happen it needs to happen soon.
