Just about killed a main frame 6x6 in tennis shoes, shorts and my OSU shirt (under my orange vest of course). Watching the game here at the house and my buddy got up to smoke. I checked the feeder and saw a buck. Thought it was the big bodied 6 point I have been seeing. Went and grabbed my binos and realize, no, that's a damn shooter! Never seen him before. Within in seconds, I was down stairs, vest on, bow in hand and arrow nocked. I know the blind is at 30 yards, so I went out the basement door, circled around and got the blind between him and I, then closed the gap. Took about 90 seconds to go from the back door with binos, to bow range. I drew, stepped out around a split maple I was using for my final cover and was just settling the pin when he looked up. I'm guessing the 6'1" 215 pound pumpkin riding a chicken was too much to tolerate cause his got out of dodge with a quickness! Only 5 more seconds and I was done for the year!
Dude was a solid 4 year old, 140ish deer. Biggest buck I've seen in the 6+ years we have lived here.
