Just had two doe come through with a small 8 grunting behind them. They joined up with 4 more doe. He's the man.

I saw more deer this morning than I have all year. Unfortunately it was on my 20 mile drive to work. No bucks seen but there were a ton of does working the fields at 7:45am.

Nope nada. My patience is wearing down. I didn't stay out long. That buck on my mms cam turned out to a broken half rack whose been hanging around, never when I'm around of course.

I plan to buy and sight in a 45/70 Friday. That may serve as an indicator of my hopes for the rest of early archery season.

Finished up around 10:30. Was a good morning. Had multiple doe and that one buck all within 30 yards. Saw a few sneaking through the thicket to my left and right. Not sure what they were.

Went and did one more grid search for the 10 I hit last Monday. Just hoping to smell something at least. I've thrown in the towel on him now. Just hope he's alive.

Just got settled. Had a doe and a fawn playing blocker between me and my stand. I was hunkered down in weeds, they were feeding 5 yds from me.
