Live from the stand!

It's been 6 weeks and 4 days since I've been in a stand. This has been a long time coming and couldn't have come at a better time with all the shit that's been going down.

Spooked one on my way to where I was initially going to sit, but also ran into a flock of turkeys. Didn't spook them and back track all the way back to the inside corner.

Not expecting much but just enjoying the peace.

I've got fresh corn out and really want to get out and shoot one. Hoping they will find the corn tonight and come back tomorrow just before dark. Going to be way colder tomorrow so hopefully it'll work out. Haven't shot a deer since November and haven't hunted in a month.

Out tonight on a property I've only hunted twice this season. Saw 2 smaller bucks last time here at a distance. Hoping for some movement.

Finally put a doe down tonight. Shot the larger of the two, but it wasn't that big. Worst year I've ever had, so happy to finally put one in the freezer!

Doe looks just fine to me. You still got time for another. Congrats on the kill buddy!

Had about a 90-100 8 pt come in. (smallest of 4 thats been together last 2 nights) He ate for a minute and then kept looking back across the creek (Out of my view). Then his ears went up on alert and headed towards the creek. He was on a brisk walk like "Hey your leaving me". I think the other 3 bucks were across the creek still. Front coming in tomorrow......wrong move something dies! :smiley_coolpeace:
Main thing is I'm still having fun and the freezer is in good shape. Been blessed horns or no horns.

Congrats on the doe! I got skunked while on stand. On my way out I had 2 does down by the gas wells 50 yards from my fuggin truck. Didn't help that the neighbor had his German shepherd out for a walk right on my property line at 4:45. I'm done hunting my land for the year, it ain't worth it when I can only hunt evenings on the weekends.
