Had a small 8 point with tumors all over him come within 10 feet of me. He stared me down for 5 minutes or so then went back to doing his thing for over 10 minutes. I took a few pictures and a couple videos, one almost 5 minutes long. He was down wind of me but I smoked up before going out. At one point he actually walked towards me while staring at me and licking the air like he just couldn't figure out what I was. Never spooked.
All of this while sitting on the ground. Didn't even have a face mask.
It was the only deer for the night and I didn't want to hang him on my wall or eat him so he got a pass for sure. Way better than being skunked though, that was fun!!

Finally seen one of my target bucks...it's the big 8 ...had it at 30yds but couldn't get him to stop so let him pass and it was getting kinda dark ....so I'll be back in that stand in the morning

Second skunk of the year. The first three areas I had in mind for this wind already had cars in the parking areas when I got there. So I hunted a crappy spot from last year, it's still crappy lol

I was in bed most of the day. My guess is our outfitter buddy has a pile of corn you could see from the moon drawing deer in for miles!

Got settled in at 620 . I'm in the stand I saw that big 8 last night if I had to guess he probably around 140" ....let's hope he strolls by this morning..good luck guys

It's a perfect morning morning to be in a tree here in Columbiana county. 41 degrees, light breeze, and I'm at work... I have a feeling some horns hit the dirt today. Good luck to everyone out.

Action is still slow during the daytime on us right now so even though it was not an easy thing to do I stayed out of the woods this morning. Didn't want to do more harm than good. Headed out this eve though. Good luck guys and be safe.
