South wind? My butt. West wind. North wind. All over the place wind. Oh well. I'm sitting in a tree. I need this time away from the world more than I do a deer. Watch out animals. If you are in range tonight, I might not hold back.

FWIW - when you get to your stand and the seat is shredded, it is kinda a good summary of my day in a nutshell. Ha

Nothing else happened this morning. That doe started to come out of that thicket but decided she was safer inside where the bucks couldn't get to her. I did some yard work later on & bought my season's supply of Evercalm, so tomorrow morning will be another try.

missed a monster doe tonight :(. watched her feeding at 25 yards for a half hour before she turned broadside and gave me a shot. she jumped the shot and arrow flew over her back. all in all a good night aside from the heart break.

I made it to my backyard tonight. I wasn't expecting much but I called and rattled in a 4 pointer. It made for a fun night when I had zero expectation.

Saw 5 does tonight , and passed a 130" eight point . Was pretty wide but lacked tine length . He was following 10 yds behind a lone doe . I attached a crappy pic I took as he was walking away . Ya can see the does rump on the left side of the photo .

Had a really nice young 9pt chasing and grunting a young doe tonight. I was hunting on the ground and they walked within ten yrds of me. He looked to be 2.5 and he is going to be something if he can make it a couple of more yrs. It's was the best sit of the yr.
