Just had a small doe come in on me. Of course, some comotion was coming in from behind at the same time... past where I was originally sitting. I saw some deer skirting in a direction, where I had just walk in from. I dunno if a buck was pushing them. I sit in the same spot over & over yet when I move, there's activity there. Fuck ! At least the doe never detected me.

Question for you smokers! I'm not sold on the idea but, I'm willing to kinda try it. My leather boots are starting to smell a bit. You think that just regular leaves smoke would help? Or do I need to burn a hickory log?

I missed the mark in my part of the world today. They may be going nuts elsewhere, but where Mason and I were, it was flat..boring...difficult to stay awake...pretty sure there are no deer left. Didn't see squat, except for two squirrels, and they looked tired too.

It won't be long though, they will crawl out of their holes and scurry about. I hope to be there when they do.

I'd throw some hickory chips in your boots and smoke em that way. They'll be warm too!

But yeah you'll be fine just smoke em via the chimney. But buy a smoker, it's well worth it. And throw some baking soda in yer shoes.

Buy a scent smoker and a bag of hickory chips torch it up and smoke away.You will never look back.
