South bound here shortly.

Checked in the max amount of weight for perishables, taking 40lbs. of venison with me, backstraps, steaks & burger. We'll be grillin on Russ' boat and eating like kings very soon.

We've got a drive ahead of us for this evening, so we're gonna chill-out for a bit, then hit the road right after rush hour for pretty much the rest of night, headed North to Washington Co.

Everything is loaded and ready to go.

Boy, this is gonna be fun!

Our camp site isn't officially ours until tomorrow morning, but we're gonna gets started tonight around 10:30 PM.

We're making good time on the highway so far.

Just got to our camp site.

Already spotted our first gator the first minute at the boat ramp. We're launching at the moment to get on'em.

I'll send pix as soon as I can.

Heads up, you guys have a pretty good storm coming in late next week that will be pushing rain in on Wednesday. You'll want to find cover before Thursday. Models right now show it moving up the coast making landfall in the clearwater area and heading NE to Jacksonville. Get that good gator tagged and start monster hunting.

Officially starting gator huntin today.

Roadkill that we grabbed just before getting here and I threw it on a heavy line while anchored in the middle of the creek all night. No dice yet w/em, but no worries, we've got all kinds of real good bait for today when we hit the much larger river here shortly.

Both laid our heads down around 3AM while sticky opossum drifted on-line in water until dawn.

Feels like we got the whole area to ourselves. A few pix of camp for the day.

I'll send more when I can. Cell service is very spotty at best.
