We had a guy do that in Pa. once.... It was like the second day of the season and we met back at camp for lunch.... Afterwards we were gonna do a little drive and guy said: Shit I'll be right back I left my gun leaning against the tree where I was sitting... How the hell do you leave your gun leaning against the tree???

Had a friend leave his Henry Lever action in Zaleski while dressing a deer then dragging out. Went back it was still there

After a night of salmon fishing my buddy left his mossburg 500 leaning up against a post in the parking lot. We made it 100 before he realized it and I backed up. It was gone. Shit got interesting for the next few minutes. We got it back though. Not because someone wanted to do the right thing either. It was his sons gun that just wanted his dad to be safe.
