Metal detectors

I’ve had Minelab, Whites and Garrett. They are all good but I’m partial to Whites. I have a Whites that cost around $700 and like it more than the Minelab ($1600). You get what you pay for with electronics so with that being said, you don’t have to spend over a grand, but those $2-400 detectors aren’t that good. Also make sure you use headphones....most come with a package that includes them but if not, definitely get one. They cut out all outside noise so you can concentrate on the signals you’re getting. Also, get a long, thin shovel like the landscapers use. It’s easier dig with then a regular shovel. If you plan on going to the beach, get a sand scoop too.
