that's why you need to get a feather burner. that and you can bend wire into custom shapes for your fletching. pretty nice cresting lathe you gots there, buddy.

truth is, I whacked my fingers with a mallet more than once using a feather chopper. you'd have to be an idiot to burn yourself with a feather burner. I only did that once.
