Yeah, they issued a “red flag warning “ here. Burn ban has been in effect for a couple days.
We we went to Myrtle Beach for supper & there was a lot of smoke to the west. With all the land clearing going on, we figured a burn ? Turns out , it wasn't the type of burn we thought .....
We stopped at wally world on the way back & people were outside talking about it .....
As windy as it’s been, the fire would be fast moving and hard to contain. We’ll see some relief Wednesday with some thunder bumpers forecasted….
We didn't know to think otherwise, but on our way here while traveling thru N. Carolina, we drove through a somewhat smokey patch & passed a road that had firetrucks sitting with their flashing lights down lil ways. I figured a house fire. Wife's daughter just sent her some info about these local fires & now she's gonna freak out until we leave tomorrow......or worse, until we get out of N.C......

Seemed like everything was way eat of us, so far. Rain moving in Wednesday so hopefully some relief. I’ve got a lot of wind debris to burn up….
