Hello gentlemen… as the title states .. moving to Ohio first of next year. What if anything can you tell me about Pike County ( Ohio ) deer ? I know what you’re thinking …. I promise I’ll only kill one .. they’ll be plenty left

Big deer in all 88 counties. Start knocking on doors or offering elbow grease or moolah in trade of hunting access near home and checkout nearest public land(Wayne) and go from there.

Hahahaha! Welcome to the state that NC vacations too. Pike County is alright as long as you stay away from Chillicothe. That place is a class A shithole.

It is close by! Lol. Not many cities in this area of the state. The ones of any size are really bad examples of ohio. I guess when I think of Pike county I only think of the northern part. Portsmouth is another shithole that is close by. Stick to the small towns in the area.…and in Ross county
Depending on when you do make the jump, we do a few functions in the southern Ohio region every year. Come on by and meet us in person!
Paxton in Bainbridge has pretty good breakfast at a good price. The Ribber in Portsmouth (say it right, Portsmith) has a damn good steak.

Thanks for all the responses guys… very much enjoying them! Pile county sound’s like a rough place … a place I shouldn’t leave a camera or stand lol ! I’m wanting to buy a home or farm in Adams or Brown county and wouldn’t rule out northern Kentucky. I’ll be working out of Elsmere Kentucky … I’ve hunted Adams county quite a bit but never Pike… have an opportunity to lease in Pike .
