Mower guy?

I've had my eye out for a couple of weeks but just started looking hard. I can't believe the hours on some of these units! 3,000+ hours and people still want $5,000...

Lima-Findlay craigslist is jam packed with mowers. I saw a Woods front deck for $1450. These are made by Grasshopper. All depends on what you are wanting and I don't have time to go back thru the entire post right now to see. lol

Alright...I still haven't bought a mower. I wanted a zero turn it with my new work schedule, I don't have time to mow during the week so the wife wants a rider style. I have no clue what's good? So a direction would be a good start. Highly disappointed in this JD...it mows nice when you can get it to mow.

I have a 22hp husqvarna rider with a 48 inch deck. Fugger makes some nice stripes for a rider. Runs good, hydrostatic, adjustable seat, Kohler motor. My dad has a smaller husky and his has a Kawasaki motor.

Ok, end of season is here already and I have about $3,000 saved. Bumping this so if someone sees a deal, they might think of me. I missed one at Sears the other day...54" zero turn for $2,100

I can comment on the reliability of Hustler. I have the 54" Raptor Sd for my lawn care business and it is very nice. I have recommended them to 2 family members and they love them. One mows large acreage farm. Only problem I've had was the drive belt come off in the rain. Not sure why that really happened. Great Mower for the money.

How's that mower of yours holding up Chad? Is it a fabricated deck or rolled? With the amount of trees and stumps I have, I'm going to have to have a fabricated/welded deck. A plow probably isn't a bad idea either if I go with a lean tractor style.

There's an old gravely dealer down this way right in down town pomeroy that's selling his new gravely zt60's for $4000. He always tries to get rid of his stock around this time to make room for next year's models. I think they usually book around $6000 if I'm not mistaken

I mow a bunch of lawns. Threw down $$$$ beginning of this season and bought a new mower for the first time. Gravely pro stance. For the first time in 5 years of mowing grass, I haven't missed a day of work due to mower repair.

Local there is a 54" Husqvarna on close out for $2,500

My high school baseball team had one for the infield and they had some trouble with one side of the deck scalping. May be as simple as adjustments were off, I'm not sure. I do know husquavarna makes good stuff

I'm not looking for a commercial zero, I don't need all that. I only mow about 6 acres once or twice a week.
I have owned a 60" Hustler Super Z for 10yrs now and haven't had an issue with it since new. I did the research and bought commercial. Also had the 0% financing promotion then so I jumped on it and never looked back. Figured it would be the last mower I'd buy. Went from taking 5+hrs to cut the yard to 1hr. That alone was worth it.

So don't be afraid to go Hustler and with 6 acres, me personally, would spend the extra and buy commercial quality.

I know guys who put more $ into their ATVs and spend less time riding them than I ride my mower. Just another perspective.
