Ive seen where some of yall in here talk about taking multi-vitamins. Im starting to give it some thought. What do you guys take, and why do you take the one you do?

I do both Dustin. I just take a multi vitamin and try to eat right. The labels I read seemed to show the same stuff inside. I take the brand most popular at the local Wally World....can't brag or complain I guess.

I did say guys right? Why are you answering J.

Eating healthy just isnt in my vocabulary. Eating salad doesnt work for me.

Was talking to a co-worker and they mentioned that they take one. Figured Id throw it out in here and see what kind you guys are taking and why. What benefits are you targeting, etc.

Whatever you take, make sure it’s of good quality. Otherwise you’re making expensive urine or it’s leaving the south end intact....

Eating greens is a small part of the diet, why are you so against it? There’s some great recipes out there for greens....

I was told by a co-worker pharmacist one time that multivitamins are a waste of money, as long as you eat "somewhat healthy." I don't think that means living off of kale and fruit either.

I don't take any, but when I did, I went with a liquid vitamin. Carlson's 2 a day.

don't think it can hurt anything, but my understanding is that many health care professionals agree that vitamins are a waste unless you have a legitimate vitamin deficiency of some sort that you cannot make up any other way. eat right and get exercise. we are what we eat. stop drinking soda and energy drinks. these things are good tasting poison. avoiding processed and fast food will take you al long way toward good overall health.

Heard Giles takes these....

One thing you may wanna get checked is your vitamin D levels. This will more than likely be low due to our location. Low vitamin D will put you in a funk more than anything else. Especially this time of year.

I would venture to say that I absorb as much nutritional advice via podcasts, articles, lectures, and books in a year's time as a lot of general physicians. (Nutrition is not a required part of the MD curriculum in nearly ALL medical schools. Most of your doctors only have a cursory knowledge of nutrition.) I've been clear down the supplement rabbit hole and back. My current regimen includes 6 supplements and a multi-vitamin made the cut. A lot of the reason why is a recommendation by Dr. Rhonda Patrick. She may very well be one of the smartest nutritional minds in the world and she takes a multivitamin. (Her supplement list: https://fastlifehacks.com/dr-rhonda-patricks-supplements-list/) This woman is smarter than the combined brain trust of TOO, so I'll take her recommendation of the common broscience of "you just piss it out".

You all should watch this video:

This is what I take: OPTIMUM NUTRITION Opti-Men, but will be switching to her recommended vitamin when I am out of my current supply.
