It looks like the deer around my house wintered over well
As tonight I saw 13 deer feeding in one corn feild 400 yds behind my back door and at least 5 more next to the neibors woods
I watched them for about 1/2 hr before the snow got to falling to hard
2 apeared to be the large bucks I never could get a clean shot at
While the 18 deer might not seem like a lot
I live in Ottawa Co , nice flat farm ground with a scattering of small woods
If I remember right , the county averaged somewhere around 4 or 5 deer per square mile
So I expect a good hunting season in 2012
