My first self-filmed buck (Illinois lease)

Hey guys,

I was looking for honest feedback as I’m new to editing and self-filming. Just want your thoughts on the music, editing (this is the first video with any blur for some odd reason so please make sure you click on hd 1080), and anything else you can think of. I didn’t get the recovery on film because my buddy was hunting the stand for the next three days. So, we tried to be in and out even though we got turned around on the drag out lol. Also, I thought I panned out enough and after drawing my bow back I didn’t want to let it down to get him in the shot. I’m looking for some thoughts and feedback so I can improve on the next video. Thanks guys and hope you enjoy it.

Looks pretty good. I like to video my experiences & I'm going to be adding a 2nd cam. I need to find a simple editing / software application. I'm not wanting all the bells & whistles.

Awesome video, Nick! Gotta be tough to self film. I had my GoPro attached to a hawk bow holder but never got it out of my pack the evening I shot my buck. Would of turned out good too being only a ten yard shot.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't care to be "force feed" someone else's music, while watching the deer approach, immediately after a shot with the rock or banjo music, etc. It's just not natural to the surroundings.
I'd rather hear what's going on around the deer, before, during and after the shot. Alarm sounds by squirrels, birds flying away due to the deer's approach or leaving, etc. just makes more sense and is more educational for practical reasons.
