One more week till the benefit, just a reminder. I’m trying to punch my buck tag so I can go swap the taxi for the one we found last year while I’m up.
I’m excited as hell. Dad is on a cane now and getting along pretty damn good. I have talked with him on the phone a few times in the last couple of days.
A couple of warnings if you come to this event.
-he is very emotional after this. He gets choked up pretty easily.
-it takes him a minute to respond. He’s still a jokester, just takes him a second to process and get the words out.
-short term memory is pretty bad, so he might not remember things he normally would. (Like this deer story)
-his blaster control has gotten better, but if says he has to piss. Please help him find the bathroom or holler for me and I’ll come right over.
I hope to see a few of you Saturday. I know of at least 4 members that have contacted me to show up.

Dave, Sounds like you Dad is getting around better and making some great progress... That's great news...Keeping him in my thoughts and prayers...
Next major battle is the chemo and radiation. All that has been pushed back because of the other complications. He starts going back to U of M tomorrow for two days, so we will know more here shortly. Thanks again everyone. You guys have helped a ton both financially and emotionally!
Great updates Dave. I am sure there will be things slow to recover. Invasive surgery to say the least. As long as it keeps improving, slow and steady wins the race.

Gibsonburg legion hall, next to the tracks. 4-10 PM plenty of time to get your evening hunt in and still come hang out.
