In short. The seizures have continued and even got worse for a little while. The brain cancer has been beaten, but the scar tissue and chemo aftermath is getting him. He spent some time in ICU a couple of weeks back and they had to install a feeding port/tube directly to his stomach to get meds in him. (Couldn't swallow again and needed seizure meds) Early yesterday we got a call that dad had severe stomach pain and was puking up blood. Resulted in a helicopter ride and emergency surgery. They found that the tube had ruptured an artery and he was bleeding out. They got the bleeding stopped but his body was at max so they had to stop. They let him rest overnight and went back in to see what else they could do. Best case scenario here is that he ends up with two ports/tubes. Poor guy

Hot off the press...

Outta surgery! And successful! He's officially closed up.

Full repair to problem area AND new feeding tube placed. On to a million other next steps over the next 24 hours but the LONG term goal is to have him off ventilator tomorrow.

Crazy that tomorrow is a long term goal but there's a lot between now and then. Good start though 💗 Thankful!
