Pulling up to order food at McDonald's or any fast food drive thru and immediately getting asked what I want to order. Hello dumbasses...i haven't even seen your stupid menu yet!

Now come on the damn menu doesn’t change, you should know what you want. You don’t go to McDonald’s looking for a whopper. Lol

Ok I have one, well many but I can look past most.

I drive a diesel, most gas stations have one diesel pump on the end. Now there is 11 other pumps without diesel. Most pumps are empty of vehicles and guess where most pull up to get gas? Not only that, but will go inside to shop and dick around. Half will come out after and start pumping gas. Yeah you know you’ve done it before....fess up!

Yep. All the time, and I send Dave a pic because it pisses him off. Even made him a meme.

This one is listed a few pages back...and now Joe exclusively only uses diesel pumps. Because he’s an asshole.

More of a rant...

Yesterday I go to the tire shop because I’ve got a leaker on the car. I put air in it about every 3 days.

I know it’s getting close to time to replace, but not close to the wear bars or anything. So I was thinking spring or next fall. These jackwagons say they can’t fix the tire because it’s rated a 4 out of 10 on tread depth. So I still have 40% of my tread life and you won’t fix it?! What a freaking trap. 😡

I’ll find a small local owned shop to do the work. Crooks! How many people just suck it up and buy new tires? What a crock of shit.

Yep. Scam. My wife took the dodge in for a oil change at NTB because i didnt have time. I told her to go ahead and get the tires rotated while there. They gave her some BS about how they can only rotate the rears because the tread depth on the front was below safety value and the rears need to maintain traction as a RWD vehicle. I wasn't going to argue with the fuckstick over the phone and told her not to get the rotation.

When she got home i grabbed my tire gauge and there was about 60% remaining. I went back up there and played dumb letting him tell me what was wrong. He gave me the same line of shit. I let him go and asked about replacements in stock. He was all kinds of happy to go inside and quote me replacements. Then i said before we do that can you explain this to me and pulled the tire gauge out of my pocket and measured it. I also told him that it was an AWD vehicle and not RWD. Nor are the tires showing the wear marks. He just started to walk back inside. I followed him calling him a lying sack of shit and a few other choice phrases making sure the others in the waiting room knew what was going on.

I sent an email to NTB about it because it amounts to fraud and they said they would look in to it. I never received a follow up. But really why would they when they rely on scams be it wipers, air filters, and whatever other BS they can trump up to stay afloat.

This was Discount Tire and I have used them for the last 10 years, not any more. That is complete bullshit and I’m sure it works on most people.

Amazon is going to run them out of business within a few years anyway. The set i eventually put on the durango i ordered on Amazon, paid Amazon a flat $20 per tire for installation and had them shipped via prime to a local tire shop of my choice. I just made the appointment and dropped it off. Never paid them a dime personally.

It feels good lighting up a POS like him these days.
Tires, cars, contractors... Nobody wants to do a honest job for a fair price.

Dammit Jim. I told you I'd waive the bogus 4hr trip charge on your bill. But. . . You ARE 4 hours away. 🤣

Since the topic of auto service & auto tires came up, I'll share my most recent experience regarding them.

A little over a month ago I called around to each of the major auto tire dealers in town and asked them for quotes over the phone on replacing all four tires & shocks on my F-250 two-wheel drive Super Duty pickup, plus a wheel alignment. I wanted their cheapest tires & shocks, nothing fancy.

Each of them quoted me over well over $1000.00 and one of them was nearly $1,500.00.

Then I asked them about just putting on tires & shocks that I already purchased from someplace else.

Only one of them would do it, but at huge expense. Something like $75.00 per tire to have installed with no warranty of the service or any kind of free follow up.

So, I went ahead and purchased four quality ‘E’ rated high mileage radial tires & shocks through ‘Amazon Prime’ at a tremendous discount.

Then I called ‘Turner Alignment’ out of Circleville (a local family owned business), made an appointment with them to have them put my tires & shocks on and do a wheel alignment. I’ve had previous experiences with them many of times. I’ve always felt appreciated, treated fairly with respect and they were always thorough while working on any of my vehicles throughout the years. Reasonable labor cost ‘TOO’. Never did they try to force something onto me nor try sell me something I didn’t ask for to begin with.

I received my tires & shocks on a Friday afternoon, loaded them up into the bed of my truck, dropped my truck off Sunday evening at ‘Turners’ and left the keys in their drop-box.

I hunted the following morning and even arrowed a deer. Got the call from ‘Turner’ mid-morning while in the tree-stand that my truck was done.

Had the wife drop me off at ‘Turners’ by noon, paid the bill in full, drove back home and collected my deer shortly afterwards. Easy as pie and it saved me several hundreds of dollars and a ton of time to do something that I truly enjoy.

Total out of pocket expense for everything was far less than half of the cheapest quote that I received from the one of those major tire dealers in town.

I'm convinced that they are rip off organizations that prey on suckers.

My nephew hooked me up with some free tires last year for my jeep. He works for a tire company. Tires were 11 years old but looked like new. When time came, Walmart wouldn't do the work due to age of the tires. Took them down the street to a small shop and they did them no problem. Ended up recently buying a like new set for the Jeep and they put them on. Cash deal for $200

Amazon is taking this a step further also. You can pick the shoo you want to install them, pay the installation fee with your Amazon purchase, then have them shipped straight to the shop from Amazon. All you have to do is call for an appointment. They're even trying to automate that part. Per tire installation for my Durango was $21. That included mount, balance, TPS rebuild, Tax and Disposal.
