Huh. What did you say? I was napping. Was there a wreck?!? lmao

I shouldn't talk. I watch baseball. On TV. And golf. LOL

Yep. Saying nascar is just a bunch of left turns is like saying baseball is just swinging a stick. Lot more to it than that.

It certainly has a following. I just can't get into it. I appreciate some dirt track racing. Doesn't matter if it is a no name track and just the locals. That is generally exciting to watch live. Otherwise, motorcycle racing is where I give respect. Off road specifically. It is all about the athlete. One of the few racing events where a guy can jump on a 5 or 10yrs old bone stock bike and win. When you see that, you see a talented athlete. My cousin is pushing 60. He has slowed down the number of races he participates in compared to 10-20yrs ago. He is now racing vintage class hare scrambles and enduros. At local hare scrambles he has entered the vintage class and won the overall. Besting vintage class riders, and every other class out there. From 16yrs of age up, and every year/size/make of bike on the line. He blows me out of the water and has 20yrs on me. That is the sign of pure talent in my eyes.

Racing is racing Phil, at least in my book. I enjoy a good race, something competitive. Throw a motor in the mix and I'm all over it! Grew up going to Norwalk every weekend with my neighbor and his 71' Nova. Once I was old enough to drive myself I started going to Fremont Speedway for the dirt track races on some of those weekends too. Something to be said for having dirt flung in your face, the sound of screaming V-8's and the orange glow coming from the rearend!
