It certainly has a following. I just can't get into it. I appreciate some dirt track racing. Doesn't matter if it is a no name track and just the locals. That is generally exciting to watch live. Otherwise, motorcycle racing is where I give respect. Off road specifically. It is all about the athlete. One of the few racing events where a guy can jump on a 5 or 10yrs old bone stock bike and win. When you see that, you see a talented athlete. My cousin is pushing 60. He has slowed down the number of races he participates in compared to 10-20yrs ago. He is now racing vintage class hare scrambles and enduros. At local hare scrambles he has entered the vintage class and won the overall. Besting vintage class riders, and every other class out there. From 16yrs of age up, and every year/size/make of bike on the line. He blows me out of the water and has 20yrs on me. That is the sign of pure talent in my eyes.
