Seems the more I talk to people the more common this new reaction is. Annoying itchy bumps that last weeks. Some of them even get a hard head on them. Wtf are they?

Jewel weed helps and it's free. Wife is also making some salve from it. I'm not concerned with the itch, I want to know what is causing it and why it's different this year.

I know I have diabetes now and thing are different for me and I just kinda rolled this into that category and left it alone. Last week guys at work were bitching about chiggers on storm but the bites looked the same as mine. Then last night my neighbor was bitching about his and they looked the same.

Looking at pics online, this must just be a mild case of them. Kinda odd that everyone is getting them tho. Must be bad this year. And I'm on repeat, lol. New bites keep showing up. I'm gonna have to start spraying down with something. Annoying

I always spray the lower legs and ankle areas or they’ll eat ya alive…. Have the grass cut short helps out also…. Once you step off the manicured lawn you’re in their domain….

Dave, this is what the wife found and it really works. I use it about three times on a bite and the itch goes away. I’ll use it until blood comes out of the bite, which means none of the venom is left in it.

Interesting. That is about how many times I gotta rub jewel weed on them. Other things it's usually just once.

Much easier to prevent than to deal with it. You can spray your yard and get rid of red bugs and ticks.

buy from TSC or any feed stores.

Yep chiggers. I've never seen one chigger bite though. They always look more like Dave's second Pic. And yes, standard tick protocol will take care of them.
