Nasty Bug

I missed worked today from this bug. My wife is a nurse too and I'm sure she brought it home. She had it Friday and saturday. I had it Saturday night and all through last night. I could shit through a screen door and never hit a wire. Straight water fellas. My whole body aches from the puking

That's exactly what I said! Good fuggin' analogy right there; says it all!!! :smiley_crocodile:

Glad to hear you guys are feeling better. I had something similar 3 weekends ago and it lasted for about 2 days. I had the shits and felt like ralphing, but never did. I was extremely tired for a couple days. After it was all over, I began to get a dizzy feeling and a brain fog......I have felt this way almost every day since. I started feeling a little more normal yesterday and today hasn't been as bad, but talk about a shitty feeling....

All three of my kids had it last week, And of course my wife and I started feeling crappy yesterday. Havent puked from either end yet, but I havent ate a damn thing in a day and a half either, just water. I tried a pinch of snuff a couple hours ago.....and that was a bad idea. Stomach hurts worse now. Gonna brave it and try to eat something here soon.

I gotta ask.. Are all of yall getting yearly flu shots? I haven't gotten a flu shot in 7 years now and haven't gotten the flu or any bug either. I did get whooping cough 2 years ago though.

I haven't gotten the flu shot for years. First and only time I did get it, I got sicker than a dog. That was the last time, and I haven't had the flu for over 5 years without it.

I didnt get a flue shot this year...guess what? NO FLU!! for the first time in years!

Yep.. I haven't had the flu and nor has my ex since we quit taking the shot 7 years ago.. I haven't gotten anything except maybe the snivels for less than a day.

Here is all you need to survive cold and flu season unharmed.

The shot is not worth taking IMHO. It only covers a couple of flu starins compared to the thousands out there. Plus taking it could equal seqeula.

I've gotten a flu shot the last two years and I haven't gotten sick. However I wasn't sick the five years prior to that, either. I think I just have a pretty strong immune system... Likely a result of sticking my head in septic tanks on a daily basis. lol

I actually miss that job. I built them but on occassion would go out and check out someones problem. I know I had a helluva lot more time for the outdoors at that job

Three kids in the house and a wife that is a nurse. . . yeah I have gotten the flu shot the last couple of years. Some years I am good, this year I got nasty sick. Just now kicked the cough I developed around Thanksgiving. Used to have a great immune system. Now with my terrible sleep patterns and vigorous schedule, it seems like I get sick easier. I probably should be taking vitamins.

I get the shot every year, and rarely get sick. I only get it because I get it for free being on the fire dept. This was the first time being sick in 3-4 years. Lasted for a little over a day. Even when I didn't have the shot, I didn't get sick. My white blood cell count is low right now for some reason, so that is why I got sick.
