Looking for some suggestions of places to visit in E/NE OH - promised the wife I'd get her away for a long weekend -
Timeline is to leave on a Thursday late afternoon and return on Monday afternoon/evening.
Two spots we're keyed in on - a museum (Ric suggested) in Dover, and taking her for a tour of our deer camp (Kinda near Mingo/30 mins from Cadiz)
Ben suggested maybe vising the big I-76 Antique Mall (wifey loves antiques) and doing some of the Amish tours (maybe Zoar Village, Yoders Farm, that sort of thing)
I'm not opposed to driving over to Pittsburg if there were something cool to do there.
My sweetheart is low-maintenance, easy to please, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

We just did The Wilds and I would suggest.

Salt Fork State park also has a beautiful lodge.

Lots of lake stuff to do also if you want to be more north.

We went to a ballgame at PNC park last summer. Very nice ballpark and a really nice area around there to get food/drinks before or after the game. Very easy in and out as well.

Told Dan about this amazing man and his legacy displayed here at this museum. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something pretty interesting here in Ohio.

If you've never been to Amish country, go to Berlin, you're right there. Lehmans is a store to spend hours in. Great eats, great stores and beautiful country.
This ^^^. Dan, you would love Lehman's. It's one of the coolest stores in the entire state, IMO.

Also, this looks great too. I've been wanting to go see this for a couple years, but just haven't made it over there yet. The Ralph Perkins Wildlife Center at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. One of the attractions in a series of clear tunnels and catwalks that allow the bobcats to walk throughout the pedestrian paths of the wildlife center. I've only seen pictures but it looks really cool.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is that direction too. If you like some hiking the Cuyahoga National Park is nice. Mohican offers some hiking and is close to some Amish country. @Hedgelj might be able to direct you on eats that direction. I hear Dunne Lake is nice if you can get past the gate keeper's beard. 😁
