Thanks. My unit issues Matech folding BUIS with our M4A1 and GUA-5A/B. I dont like them so I wanted to get something different for my AR.

They funtion fine but they are just not as robust as some others. The rear peep doesn't lock in the up position. Its just held in the up position with a light weight spring. Ive seen the elevation feature and the mounting bolt break a few times. I'd take that with a grain of salt though because they are mounted on rack weapons. The other thing I dont like is that your stuck with the small aperture peep sight. If you want a lower cost rear sight the magpul MBUIS is pretty nice but I'm not sure if I like those either. The 22nd STS here at McChord AFB mounts them on their FNH SCAR-H rifles.

Got my scopes and mounts in for my RRA build today. Vortex Viper 3.5x10x50 with Burris Xtreme mounts (high) and this thing is SO crisp/clear. I also got in the red dot, Burris Fastfire II. It is going under the main scope on a Daniel Defense One O'clock mount.
This will take care of short and long range shots for classes and yotes. Long range use the scope, short range just tilt the gun counter clockwise a bit and use the red dot.

Yeah, an SBR is something I will do sooner rather than later. Just hate eating that $200...

Its done except for getting the accesories on. Had a minor issue with the takedown oins. Luckilly I had extras laying around. Better pics later but I am tired...

DUDE!!!!!!! Most of that is Greek to me bit you better bring that thing with you next time you come over and let me run a few rounds through it. That thing looks fuggin awesome.
They are coming. Just got back in town. Unplugged and went with no computers/phones for a few days out in the hills. I will have some better shots and details this week.
