Any apprentice deer hunting person interested, or anyone who wishes to get into the sport of hunting big game Whitetail Deer but has not done so yet or anyone that lacks any real decent opportunities for whatever reason or reasons. and just wants an opportunity to hunt some good deer.

If you’re just starting off in the sport or are interested in getting into Whitetail Deer hunting, then I have a special offer for you. If you’re willing to put in the time, some physical work from time to time, listen, and pay attention to the critical details, then this is an opportunity for you. I will share anything and everything that I know about the sport of hunting with you.

I have access to a few good farms, and I always try my best to manage/raise deer to the point where they can get to their most fulfilled growth potential, then hunt/harvest them (mature adults), or potentially hunt/harvest those that will improve (cull deer) the overall quality of the local herd.

I'll work with anyone with high ambitions/standards/goals, appropriate intentions, and a good attitude. A lot of information will be available for you to potentially understand and learn, along with plenty of opportunities to improve your skills and techniques towards most all hunting scenarios and/or situations, no matter how, when, or where in your hunting career.

I’m not the world’s most knowledgeable person on the topic, but I am a well rounded-seasoned experienced hunter/outdoorsman. My sharing on the ‘TOO’ forum over recent years should serve as an example of some of my knowledge and/or experience.

This is something that I will most likely do each new year for the rest of my hunting career. I’ve done this in the past, introducing new people to the sport and provided personalized one on one training for them within the field , and in each case of those past individuals, they became successful back then, and continue to be successful each new year thereafter with regards to tagging a buck deer.

I hope to have anyone might be interested in this offer to go ahead and send a personalized private message to me rather than responding to this forum thread directly. Within your message, I expect you to tell me why I should pick you, and please try to be thoughtful and thorough, thanks!

Based on the number of responses, if any, I will pick someone by the end of the month (June) and then start working with them immediately. I will continue to commit to that person, whatever training, and/or prepping until the individual becomes successful in harvesting a deer or continue trying all throughout the entire new 2023/2024 hunting season, right up to the end if need be.

Other mandatory requirements are necessary in order for this to take place and should be fairly straightforward, such as, having a legal hunting license & tags, signed landowner access permission slips for each private property, dependable transportation, whatever hunting implement to be used (any legal hunting weapon for deer, but not necessarily required because I have extras in (R) longbow, rifle and muzzleloader. I DO NOT have any xbows in stock though, just keep that in mind), wear appropriate outdoor clothing outerwear for whatever current outdoor weather conditions and a good pair of comfortable waterproof above the ankle hiking/hunting boots.

I currently live inside Ross Co. I do hunt other counties as well, hunting both on private and public lands. I’m primarily focused though on hunting at home this year, but regardless, all cards and options will remain on the table when it comes time to go after whatever each of us intends to hunt/harvest throughout the new 2023/24 Whitetail Deer hunting season.

I hope this gets someone fired up towards the new hunting season because I’m all too eager to get things started.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting the lucky person for this new hunting season!

Sincerely,

Denny – a.k.a. Wildlife, WildlifeOhio

Here's an example regarding a less fortunate young man that lost his father in the line of duty the previous year and never had the opportunity to hunt big game with his father.

I taught him everything I know about the sport and today, he's lifer bow hunter of deer. The following year of him hunting with me, he harverted a heck of a trophy buck within his home state inside Missouri, a real nice typical 10 point. I have a picture of it someplace that I will try to locate later today and share it.

I tried to capture as much of all the happenings at the time as best as I could, but it's those memories shared is what really matters. It's a long video and it's what I did for him and his mother that they'll always have for the rest of their days.

The real action is towards the end of the video, but I gave them everything that I captured on film.

Next to bagging a trophy myself, having someone like him harvest a deer with my involvement is one of the most gratifying things I've done in my life. That is why I do this, along with the passion I have for wildlife.

Hope you enjoy!

Youth Bow Hunt 2016 - The beginning of a lifetime 'Whitetail Deer Hunter'.

Took a youth and a guest out bow hunting for 5 days in early November and on the very last day, first thing on a Monday morning, the youth got himself his very first 'Whitetail Deer', an Ohio button buck! He had to catch a scheduled flight home later that afternoon. Couldn't be more happier or proud on his accomplishment! I wasn't able to catch the youth actually shooting his deer because it was still too early (dark) for the camera at the time, but at 1:44 minutes into the video is where I pick up the youth tracking his first 'Whitetail Deer' and the rest is history. Congratulations once again to the young man! The beginning of a lifetime 'Whitetail Deer Hunter' all captured on video!

Found the photograph of his 2017 buck harvest from his home state Missouri.

I had to grab my old cellphone because that's where it was and apparently texted photographs were still on that old phone that I thought were erased after being backed up someplace, but wasn't.

Anyway, here are some of the hero pix too. The young man did just great and I was very proud of him. He went home that afternoon with nothing but big smiles, plenty of funny stories and some good-ole-venison.

Four more days left and I still have not received a single message. I will not offer again if I do not get any interests. So, if you know someone in need, then send them my way, thanks!

You are looking for someone to mentor. Most on here could offer you advice as readily as you could offer them advice. Not a lot of novices here. If they are, they are likely in the shadows with too few posts to send a private message.

Just some thoughts is all. Don't take it as a personal attack. It's just my observation.

If you really want to mentor someone, perhaps connect with your local Boys & Girls Club, Boy Scout Troop, or 4H and I'm sure you could find a youth and/or parent to take you up on this. As Phil said, this isn't a target-rich environment in terms of novice hunters, nor are we likely to recruit someone to send to you, especially since most of us don't like anywhere near you. It's a mighty fine offer, but the absence of a taker isn't an indictment of TOO.

Sorry guys, was bit busy this morning. I went ahead and took the on-line hunter instructor education course this morning, in-between all my mornin chores, and successfully passed it. If anyone else is interested in doing the same, link is below, good luck!

Now bare with me as I read the latest post and respond, thanks!

Okay, thanks Phil, I understand.
