I will be in Ohio from the beginning of September through the end of October visiting family. Going to bring my bow along and try hunting some public land for the start of the season. I am an avid bow hunter but not familiar with the area. Will be just outside of Columbus Ohio. Anyone know of any good management areas near the Delaware area. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
 
Welcome to TOO. I believe Delaware has an area. Not real familiar with it but read on here somewhere it was decent.
 
Thanks really just wanting to get out and burn some days away in the woods. Start of the season not sure of the areas but I hope they aren't too slammed with bow hunters. I don't mind traveling if there are any within the the surrounding areas.
 
I believe Delaware State park offers some hunting, best thing you can do is start googleing and go to the ODNR website.
 
Welcome. Sounds like you don't mind traveling a little, I'd look more into public places away from the bigger city's. The ones closest always get more traffic because people can hit them after/before work. That being said, I would stay away from them during the weekends also.
 
Thanks guys, that makes alot of sense try to get away from the city. We will see what happens hopefully the outcome is good. Anyone know of any outdoor stores in the area?

Is there anyone that does like weekend hunts, pay to hunt on their land and what not.
