New spot with lots of hunters

Honestly makes me want to say fugg it and try public land...

If you get bored and decide you want to I have been checking a few spots down in SE Ohio that may be good. (You may know of the same spots, lol) Could always use a hunting buddy down there!

Nothing wrong with hunting public.

Aside from hitting the obvious spots and throwing up a couple cams for inventory, I'd say wait until after gun season to really put some effort into it. The other guys will likely vanish and you'll have a much better grasp of travel patterns in the area. Right now is a shitty time to look for sign. For one, trails aren't near as prominent, and two, most deer aren't doing right now what they'll be doing in a couple months.
I’m a late season hunter anyways. Always seem to be crazy busy during the good stuff.

If I hit that spot, I’ll take you to some private land. Love that area...just a 2 hour drive. It’s nice having a spot close to home.

I have alot of land but only a couple places to myself. Most places i hunt have another 8 or 10 guys with permission. Just go where they aren't willing to go and hunt smart. I've got 2 places that are corn right now that will be overrun when the corn is gone but everyone to lazy to walk threw the corn or around it. My tracks have been the only ones in there so far this year. I have a good chance early at those spots if I spend some time there

Ottawa....😂
Guys come from all the way from dayton to hunt ottawa county? R u serious? Ottawa hold some swamp monsters but it gets really thin in some areas especially where there is a crowd of people. I have more shitty opinions to give but I got to go do my job

Show me Valley in Ottawa county...no, I wasn’t being serious. I don’t see what the county has to do with any of this.

it has a everything and nothing, the county can give us and other an idea of how it is hunted, etc. The way guys hunt and the amount of deer in nw ohio is vastly different than se ohio.

Come up and try some spot and stalk. When you can see for miles. . . .so can the deer. My area is flatter than a pancake.

We just wing it down here. You flatlanders can go all western states spot and stalk if you get to feeling froggy. Hell, you can scout with drones up/over there from what I hear. 😂
Yeah it don't work (watched many idiots try with a crossbow and gun), majority of the places I hunt in the western desert once the corn and foliage is gone, the deer disappear. Its like they vanish, I have came up with several theories while drinking (all with individuals like giles, so they so are gold).

First off, don’t act like there are others like me...we all know better. 😂

Second, I grew up in those flatlands. The deer will let you walk right past them. The idea is to not just walk aimlessly. Find them first, then walk with a plan and you can kill them. Giant rabbit hunt.

I have had some success getting close to good deer up in the northern part of the state. Have to have some tall grass, a creek, or fence row to pull it off.
