RIP Robert. Iconic on the big screen and behind the scenes. Big advocate back in the 70’s and 80’s for horses and Navajo community. Our mom and 3 other grade school teachers went out west to NM or AZ to visit ex co worker teacher who moved out there a few years earlier. They caught wind that Robert was a keynote speaker at a Navajo conference center about Wild horse management or something along that line. They were all huge fans but mom was determined to see or meet him so she went up to door inside that went into auditorium and was not allowed in due to not having a pass. Dejected she walked out to car load of friends to deliver the bad news. While they were about to leave they saw him get out of vehicle and start walking towards building. She ran up behind him and friend captured her approaching him from behind yelling “Hey Bobby!!!” He actually turned around and obliged her with a closeup photo op but here’s the photo of our mom stalking him. Lmao
