Non-Resident license fees to increase

Not trying to discredit your theory Chuck because I have no facts to back it up. BUT, I don't think it would be much of an increase. I am a land owner. I still buy a tag and license. I bet the percentage of land owners who ONLY hunt their land is not huge. Conservatively, I would guess less than 50%. Frank (MKII) and Hortontoter might be the only ones on here I can think of. You might be the third. I could be wrong on them as well. Just don't think there are many who ONLY hunt their own land. Maybe it is over 50%, I dunno.

I don't know hicks. Over the years the most widely abused thing I've ever seen when it comes to tagging has been landowner tags. Namely deer killed elsewhere and tagged as landowner or landowners tagging deer for others etc.

I've hunted the 2 neighbors land for the last 10 yrs. But only took one deer and that was this year during ML. it just gave me a extra spot to hunt. I lost the one neighbor when he moved away this year but picked up the neighbor behind me.

I don't remember the exact figure, but recently I heard that the majority of deer killed in Meigs Co were tagged with landowner tags. I think it was somewhere in the ballpark of 60 or 70 percent... Which is obviously crazy high. Something's going on there...

I got a buddy that goes to Ohio with me , he is Army National Guard , never lived in Ohio , but yet gets his Ohio hunting License FREE , all he pays for is tags , he just has to have a active leave papers on him ..makes you wonder how many Non Resident hunters are taking advantage of that ..

He paid for that license, just not with money. I have no problem with anyone in the armed forces getting free licenses... Resident or non resident.

Still not legal too do and is an abuse of the system.... Active duty and on leave..... Not a reservist who printed out a forged document.... Ticks me off when guys do it with both hunting and fishing license.... I buy a pa fishing license every year.... All I have too do is print out a BS form and carry it with me and I'd save 60 bucks..., but it's not right and I won't abuse it..... Just my .02 worth....

OK . my fault , he is Army National Guard ( Full Time ) he does get leave and his commander signs it , he hasn't forged anything ..

And I agree with you , as I am a Disabled Veteran ,with under 50% disability and for that I get jack squat ...but if I had 50% or higher I could get free license .
I think every disabled vet should be treated the same ...

Good point. Never crossed my mind of the abuse potential. I have never used a land owner tag. I guess it would be pretty easy to do though. I will just keep buying my tags. I am not into stealing.

I guess it would be easy to do if you didn't get caught transporting it back home. Not me.
