Funny. When I was younger a buddy and I put a 25 horse Evinrude on a 10 foot aluminum john boat. The only way we could get it to plane out was to set the cooler on the front built in seat and him on top of that. Once we could keep the nose down that sucker would scoot! I remember feeling like we were gonna die at any moment because it only took a 1/4 inch movement of the tiller to make it turn on a dime.

I've seen some over powered boats do a wheel stand coming out of the hole.... Couldn't give it full throttle till it was on plane, but once it was there look out..... Fished with one guy in Illinois that handed be a motorcycle helmet.... Yeah I was a little nervous hahaha....
