A smell you'll never forget. Luckily I never had to do it as we made the lowest ranking or shortest time in service do it. With a 6 month AIT by the time I got to my first unit I was in longer than others.

Here are few smells in life worse then burning shit..... Stagnate de-ice fluid used on aircraft is another.....

My ass after eating a crockpot of venison chili is another.

Although I don't want too experience it BS I doubt it holds a candle too burning mass quantities of dung.....

A pond full of liquid poop is an experience you really don't want too experience either..... The shit GI's have too put up with.....

Something about the inside of an M113 which is less than pleasant as well. Combination of closed up metal, funky vinyl seats, and the engine compartment/slobber box right there in your face that is not a great smell. How about when a supply sargent opens a box of the rubber raingear which hasn't been opened for awhile? Smelled like cat vomit. Joe probably got Goretex issued. Might not have experienced this. Goretex was great. Rubber raingear sucked. Cat vomit. Seriously.
