Every now and then my inner redneck comes out. Today I saw the dog warden at our neighbor's house. I walked in. Closed the door. Shut the curtains. Told the kids "DO NOT let the dog out!" I haven't bought a dog tag in 20 years. I'm not about to start buying them now!

It’s a fee that the money goes to your county dog pound. Think ours is 3$ a year.

Always buy one , always will . Just another way to ID my dog if lost . Plus I'm not going to pay a ticket.

This is the only part that makes me feel bad. Then again, I just spent $1600 to renew about 2/3 of our license plates for our vehicles. I don't feel bad about the 3 I didn't renew. Govt gets enough of my money. They don't need anymore.

Tracker- if I have to pay the fee for not having one. . .I'm okay with it. I'm money ahead from my savings over the years. Would be nice for the extra identification.

Yeah I’m not advocating the fee. It’s charged at the vet when I get yearly vaccines. I can tell them I don’t want or need it since my dog don’t run loose.

So I looked on my bill from the vet. It ain’t 3 bucks, it was 10$!
