Nuisance Trapping

Hmm, our chipmunk invasion has one less member. Had a bucket of water sitting by the deck and sure enough one got in it and drown. Daughter came in crying telling me about it. Said well, give it a proper burial....shovel is in the garage. She looked at me like WTF LOL!
I've killed 45 of the damn things the past two years just by the chicken coop, but with no chickens left I haven't had the traps out. Saw one on the deck the other morning so set out a DP. Cat food for dinner. lead for dessert.

Wednesday evening I was sifting through my hunting gear when I flushed a little varmint out from under the lid of one of the totes. There were mice in the camper this year and after a week of no luck trapping in there, I suspect these two were stowaways that found their way inside the garage. Caught one Thursday night, then reset the trap with the same bait and caught another. Good start to my trapping season 
I’m already up to 11 since mid December. Peanut butter works the best.

Mice… the bane of my existence. A constant battle at home and at work. Such destructive and persistent little critters.
My shed wreaks of mice piss all the time at this time of year. I kill 5 and 10 more move in. Constant battle.

I am switching to the smaller 6 ish oz water bottle. It’s smaller an lighter so it should be easier to roll.
Moles, hate em!!! Moles, despise em!!! We’ve lived here for 20 years and last year is first time I really noticed much activity around our house and front yard/field. This year it’s grown to apocalyptic proportions. I’ve also noticed how bad our neighbors and daughter/SIL place have been dealing with them. I’ve caught about 10 of the lil bastards this year and they’re giving the squirrels a run for their money for being a petulance. Here’s the latest victim from today.
Grub X in your yard should do the trick. That’s what I used in the past and went probably 10 years without moles. They’re starting to show up again so that’s my spring plan.
This ! ...... I've been battling those lil bastards for over 30 yrs & this past summer I was able to turn the tide. I found this at Tractor Supply...Rural King advertises them .... These are silicone worm - like & I cut each one in half, to make them last longer . I find where their tunnel is , poke down in to find the open space & stick one in, cover up. They're about $22 a box. Results are instant. You'll always have mole activity at some point, but this keeps things in check. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I used less than two boxes of these this past summer.
I actually considered this method but kinda hated to take it that far. Lol
