Apparently ODNR is not doing free management plans anymore. Ours is expiring and they’re given us a list of consultants to call. Our rep couldn’t say what they charge but said it’ll pay for itself in about 2 years which means it’s Gonna cost us about 4 grand. What a crock of shit. How much money is the date savings here…it has to be enormous. Anyone experienced this yet?

Hopefully you can find a private consulting forester in your area to do the plan for you. They are hard to come by in some parts of the state, at least ones that are readily available.

I had the free one which was great. I also have had a paid one- great local guy for us; Ben Robinson, Switchback Forestry- and was pretty blown away. It can also be art of NRCS EQUIP and paid for 100%. Shoot me a message if you have questions but I am thrilled with the walk, plan and approach. Crazy smart guy, super knowledgeable and a hunter.

My neighbor recommended him. Do you have his contact info?
