Ohio Deer and Turkey Expo Plans?

Won't be there. I can go to the mall and be surrounded with retards and save the 2 hr drive. Rather not have a bunch of idiots who couldn't shoot a deer if it was a real DIY hunt try to sell me crap that only Michael Waddell and t bone turner would use to help them kill a deer.

Hortontoter- If you have never been there it is worth a trip. Hope you enjoy feeling like a sardine though. It has been crowded to the point you can barely fit through the aisles EVERY time I have ever gone. Sometimes it is nice to see a new product. Just hard to reinvent the wheel every year. Lots of marketing and pushy sales people. Lots trying to promote paid hunts. Some interesting food plot seed salesmen out there attempting to tell you why their product is better than the next guy's blend. The deer mounts are nice to look at and drool over, but I don't always spend a lot of time looking at them. If I didn't hunt them or one of my friends didn't hunt or kill them. . . .they all start looking the same. Ironic considering how much different they are.

I do enjoy some of the seminars. I have sat through some and wasted my time. Others I have gained invaluable insight from sitting there and listening.

Have fun fellas. Cousin couldn't make it. Wife works this weekend. Didn't feel like dragging the kids through it. Too nice outside. If I am doing deer related stuff this weekend it will be shed hunting or pulling some cameras. Expo will be there next year.

I'm heading up in about 30 minutes. If anyone is going and wants to meet up just post up here what time and where you want to meet. I'll be bringing my deer up to get scored so I'll be in the scoring area for a awhile. Maybe meet somebody for an over priced lunch in the food court TOO....LMAO

Ric, let me know how it goes this year..can't believe I'm missing such an event...I mean who could turn down the aroma of opening up 3 day old splitters, diesel fumes, unwashed walmart clothing and lathered up yoders...

Was there for several hours today. Thought it was a better show than when I was last there several years ago.
Saw some really nice buck mounts and some that were just awful. Couple nice chicks TOO.

What did your buck score Ric?

Lol, as I suspected but I'm still very proud to have him. He has 167" of gross antler counting inside spread(14"). He nets 132&4/8 NT but nets 47" typical! Rotflmao

He basically has just one typical side(73" right side) and his left side is just a cluster#%&@. LMAO

When I get time I'll post up my score sheet. What I presumed was his g2 they scored it as the MB. They scored him several ways and they both scored pretty close. He is a very unique and odd looking and scoring deer and that's why he's named Character.

What I thought was amazing was all of the world class deer on display at this years show. Prolly not much more than most any year but I think we all forget how awesome our state is as far as genetics and potential.

This year there was a 200"er or two that never placed! I saw a 162" 8 that was very impressive and there were more 180+ deer than I could keep track of. Just very impressive!

Iowa or any other well known big buck producing state has NOTHING on Ohio as far as big bucks! IMO...

Lol!.. I was hoping to make it over but the 18 hr day yesterday killed me and had to work again today after church. Friend of mine went over and he thought for sure that 8 your talking about was the one I killed in 09...lol... Only the one there this weekend had more mass... He figured there was at least 30 bucks there over 190.
