Ha! Don’t expect much more out of me...I haven’t fished much since my fishing buddy died in 2010. My efforts YTD have been a result of Covid season and no baseball season. I’ve been bored!

I'm letting ya'll get a head start before I grab a bucket of minnows and head outback...
I'm Erie bound in an hour for the evening bite. Should be a nice evening to chase some marble eyes.

Got my six eyes and a bunch of shorts. Two channel cats, a white bass, and a bunch of barn animals. Beautiful night on the water.

Fished a tournament today down on the pike island pool of the river.
Caught 2 keeper small mouths, 4 keeper walleye, a keeper sheep head and 2 keeper saugeyes.

This was the only picture we got today. Bridge piling were where the fish were stacked. Plenty of current and 15 plus 8-10” fish. We had 4 keepers and took second place with a check for our troubles...

Took the fly rod to the neighbors today. I fished an hour with a big #6 hook. They were hungry tonight....12 jumbo gills and 7 bass 12-15” plus 2 proof photos...sizes up to about 33 points.

I also took the fly gear out. Only caught two smallies and a rock bass, but it felt good to throw some line. Perfect summer night.

That’s my next step is to do fly fishing. I’ve never done that. I love fishing for trouts

A bit hot today. Made a few casts before the storms. Missed on 2 big cats but did catch one bass....a 2 pointer plus pic point to make it interesting.

I was in the hot spot today. Snagged one bluegill. Lost 3 and 5 pounder largemouth. 4 bass but fuggin jighead popped out. Will try again tomorrow.

I tried again tonight. Had one bass hookup but lost it on the fly rod. The fish in my pond are all spawning thus they no interest in eating...only breeding. I have similar thoughts sometimes.

Did good this morning. Caught 2 bass and one catfish.

Threw a Tadpolly at lunch today. 2 bass over 12” and a #DustinDink. Looks like 8 points less the #DustinDink.

I finally caught a decent one at 19”. Appears to be a spawned out female. I’ve got bigger bass and I’m trying for that 8# goal but they’re hard to come by lately given its spawn season. Tonight’s success produced a 5# bass plus a pic....should equate to 4 points. I’d love to get an

8# bass and a 12# catfish with my fly rod. That’s my season’s goal.
