ok gotta let yall in on something

as most of you know from posts on other site , i have had some minor medical problems , screwed up wrist , tore my shoulder few years back , pnuemonia among other things .
and you guys know i usually share everything with you guys , well because of not taking care of myself physicaly , ive developed kidney problems , i have been getting kidney stones pretty regular over the past two years about every 4 months im having problems with them to where im in the hospital , well now they are sedning me to a specialist , and honestly it scares the shit out of me , the thaught of possible transplants or dialysis doesnt make my day any better. now i could be freakin out for no reason , but doc said it could be a warning for something more serious and maybe a support group would be a way of helping me through this whole ordeal , and i figure what better of a support group then my brothers here on TOO. im not looking for pitty , just some reasuring words to keep my spirits up till they do some digging and poking and find out whats goign on , but a plus to it is man they got me on some killer drugs , it shouldnt be legal to feel this good , and maybe with all the stones i collect i could make a pretty cool necklace :smiley_coolpeace:

Keep your head up man! I know lots of people with kidney stones. Mostly what you put in your body.

Hang in there UK! Let's see what the specialist has to say and some tests run on you first. Keep your spirits upbeat. We'll be praying for you in the meantime.

UglyKat,
None of us are "bullet proof" and all it takes is something like this to pull our cork under to get our attention and show us what we should be doing to better preserve our health. Let's face it, if we don't have our health, we don't have much and can't enjoy life and life with our families. :smiley_chinrub:

I pray that you can improve your health, avoid the surgeon and enjoy life! :smiley_blink:

A former co-worker's wife battles with these stones all the time..... Has most of her life..... Fluid intake can lead too some of them but it has something with the way your body proccesses the fluids if I remember right..... Both my kids have had them and after years of getting on them about the soda that they always drink they cut it all out with no more stones too date.... The daughter was in the parking lot of work throwing up from the pain of them and we were in Canada for a long weekend..... The wife was freaking out and she's a nurse lol.... But any fluid that has any carbination what so ever will give you stones if you're pre-desposed too them..... Beer on the other hand is very good for stones lol....

Not trying too make light of your situation Mark but trying too ease your worries.... We're all hoping the best outcome for you.....

Really sorry to here about this, Mark. Glad that you're going to see a specialist. Kidney stones are about the worst thing there is. I bet he'll be able to get you on the right track to get past this. I hope it is something as simple as getting rid of the Mountain Dew. Maybe you can become a lemonade man.

Dang... I'm sure you'll be fine. I know it sucks going through the tests and shitty thoughts of what could be wrong, but I'm sure everything will be cool. You might just be on a daily pill or something. The hardest part then is remembering to take it. Best of luck!
