Hunt#1 in the books. 55 degrees, steady rain, 20mph steady wind out of the south. Got busted by a brute of a buck before I could even get all my crap situated. Huge body, old dude that was HEAVY horned. He saw me moving as I was getting some junk out of my backpack. Bummer. But crazy action. He trotted off after a stared own of about 3 minutes. Then I saw 6 does and a six with his nose to the ground. No deer harmed, but a killer hunt. On to tomorrow.
