Ol' Willy's week in Ohio 2013

Is it the same 12 Isaac saw?

Don't ya love that shaking feeling?

Different deer. This one was a clean 12 with brows as tall as his 2s. I had to laugh at myself after 10 minutes of shaking after he was gone. I have zero ability to control buck fever. Luckily I generally get it after it all and not while I'm at full draw. We've seen 3 awesome bucks this week. I'm looking real forward to tomorrow morn. Should be good weather for the first few hours. At least the freaking Ohio Tornado of 2013 is supposed to take a small break. And... The temps are droppin!

LOL! Same here! After they disappear I get the shakes and it takes forever to go away.

I did the same things last night. I was clam as can be when I saw him, and grabbed my bow. soon as he walked the other way and I knew he wasn't coming, I was a wreck. I was like what the hell, I was just calm, why am i shaking now hahahahaha

Tonight's sit. Small buck running a doe 100 yards away in the woods. Line scrub buck wandering through with nose to the ground. Finally flung an arrow at a doe around 5:15. She spun right when I released and it hit her a little back. Arrow still in her as I watched the lumenock bound away. I have a good idea where she is but decided to back out since I'm iffy on the placement. Hopefully we can find her tomorrow. With the rain I couldn't find blood even 20 min after around the impact site. Wish me luck....hard quartering away... Hoping that thing hit liver.

Best of luck on the recovery Josh!!!:smiley_coolpeace:

Well... I'd like to report better news. The snow on the crp she ran in has made it damn near impossible to find her... If she's even dead. We've searched all morning and not even a hunt of where she may be. Gonna give it one more go later tonight after the hunt and see of we can't stumble upon her. Damn. I hate just wounding deer.
