FOUND DEER! After a long search mission, in the fading light of day, I found my deer. Thanks to a glowing lumenock and some blind luck. I saw an amber light glowing in the deep weeds as I was walking over to see if Isaac had seen anything tonight. Crazy stuff.
The bummer of the deal is what I thought was a doe is a button. Doh! It was the leader of a pack of 3 deer and the 2 in back were smaller so I assumed it had to be a mom and fawns. Well, I won't assume that next time.
However, kick ass! I found it!
Great end to a great week. Saw a ton of deer. We saw 4 bucks that went over 150, just never in range. Maybe next year. Now, back to my little Florida deer and the hog hunt I am doing in a couple weeks.
Good times in the motherland. I'll be back... This is my real home.

Good stuff! Glad you found "her" Josh. Been there and done that. First archery deer I killed was the same way. Shot the biggest one knowing the other two were smaller and obviously the fawns. No reason to think it was a button. Oh well. Stuff happens. Still good eating though. Have a safe trip home!

Glad you found her Willy. You really need to get up here more often. Keep us informed on the hog hunt and tell the surgeon I said hello.
Glad you had a great week of hunting Josh! Congrats on finding your deer TOO! Hope to meet you and your brothers one of these days! Have a safe trip home and good luck on your hunting endeavors down south.
