Old bottle

Dug up this old bottle on the job site today. It says Congress&Empire spring company Saratoga NY on the front with a big C in the middle and Congress water on the back. From what I found online it's from 1865 to 1870. Any of you guys collect bottles or know any history on them?

Yeah it was dug up using a mini excavator. Can't believe it didn't get broke.

It had spring water in it. Didn't know they had bottled water in the 1800's.

Thanks for the replys guys! The glass is really cool with a lot of bubbles in it. It was mixed in with broken brick and concrete as fill on the river bank in down town toledo. Going to have to look around a little closer before we pour concrete over the top of the site lol!!!

Great old bottle. I wonder where the bottled water was sold back then. Not like there was a Dollar General on every street corner. Heck there weren't even that many street corners then. Very cool item to find.
