This buck has the same genes as the one I killed a couple years ago. Short two's and long three's with long beams. Only a mile away from where I killed it. I figured this one probably grosses near 180. As of right now he is target #1. I honestly think he's peaked and won't do much more. DD and BB still have potential to be a lot better in another year...
You are in a unique place in your hunting location, opportunities, and success rates. I have a lot of respect for your ability to target specific bucks with strict criteria. I have pretty high standards for myself. They aren't anywhere close to yours. Anymore, it is age more than anything, but a 160+ 2yr old walks out I would have one difficult time holding out to meet my age criteria. I won't lie. lmao

Haha, I earlier I never really study his rack much when I estimated each side would be around mid 70's cuz he reminds me of a shed I have that scores 76". I just now looked him over and figured his right side to be at 79". If both measure 79" and you add 18" you get 176".
That's true. A buck I'd like to see my youngest shoot shed yesterday and showed up this morning. He looks totally different
170, 180, hell it is a great looking deer JD and those are just numbers. If you get him and are happy with him that's all that really matters, unless your into that record book stuff.

That old bruiser def looks past his prime, if you kill him I'd be curious to see just how old he is. Get his jaw aged.
