Thanks for giving us the story, felt as though I was there! That is as big an 8 point any hunter will ever see let alone kill in their lifetime. Congrats to your friend! It's funny how many monsters are killed by hunters who are having a less than perfect day prior to the encounter.

My buddy decided to take his deer to Knights taxidermy, a few references led him there and after talking to him over the phone he decided to spend his money with him. I met him today and he is a top notch guy with a passion for his work, it definitely shows in his mounts! He turned this buck around pretty quick and the results were amazing....we were pressed for time so these will have to do.

Haha, I really don't think it has sunk in, even to this day. Its just one of those things man. He was speechless today when he finally got to see it again. I actually kind of forgot just how impressive the mass and beams were too!
